Forget about the myth that if you study hard, you will pass exams. Passing exams is an art. You don’t learn to paint a picture by studying the construction of paint and paint brushes.
You have to practice. When I was in high school, we had half an hour to spare every lunch time. So I practiced grabbing a word at random and writing an article about it in half an hour.
One day I chose the subject of “Nothing.” It was great practice for writing essays in forty minutes on horrible subjects that the examiner chose.
